Switch Glitch

At a few minutes after 9pm last evening, we experienced the failure of a small switch in W. Cornwall. This would have caused a lack of connectivity for Valley customers. We were able to replace the unit by about 9:40pm--Ripton customers might have experienced a brief interruption at that time.

Lightning!

The severe lightning storms that moved through Ripton Friday evening appear to have taken out equipment at the Brooks location just below Snow Bowl eliminating service to customers in the Bread Loaf and Reichert Lane area. We will be assessing the damage at first light.

Scheduled Maintenance

After midnight tonight, we will be replacing the backup power unit at the West Cornwall location. This will result in a brief service outage to all subscribers. Work will begin at 12:30am and is expected to last no longer than 15 minutes.

If you find yourself unable to access the Internet any time after 1:00am Wednesday morning, please reboot your radio, router and computer in order and try again. If you continue to have a problem, call 382-8700 and let us know, and we will call you back to assist as soon as possible.

Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Han-Bied Link Glitch

We experienced a brief outage on a leg of the Ripton network this morning. Once again this was a failure in the Han-Bied wireless link. It now appears that this recurring problem is related to grid power issues at the Bied end. We are configuring a significantly more robust battery and inverter backup for that location immediately and will have it in place by the end of the day tomorrow. Thank you for your patience.
